About this Event
Join us for a Streambank Repair Workshop at a private property in the Mackey Branch watershed!
Those registered will receive location details by email the week of the event.
Learn how to restore eroded stream banks using cost effective and natural, bio-engineered methods. We'll be planting tons of awesome native plant species and installing biodegradable coir matting and coir logs to establish vegetation with deep root systems for erosion control and native habitat. WaterWays will have gloves and some tools available, but feel free to bring your own gear! Gear such as mallets, trowels, shovels, gloves, eye protection, waterproof shoes/rain boots, sunscreen, water bottle and a hat are suggested.
Lunch is provided by the City of Chattanooga!
We hope to see you out in the creek with us!
