Let’s welcome the cold season with food that turns up the heat. 🌶️Chili peppers are a powerhouse for circulation and digestion, making them the perfect companion for the colder months as we look to warm the body from the inside out.Join us at Verity Herbs & Wellness for an afternoon with Stephanie Ciner of Wild Field Urban Farm as we explore the art of making hot sauce from scratch with home-grown peppers and other simple ingredients.
We'll discuss several strategies for safely fermenting hot peppers at home, choosing flavor combinations, and growing your own peppers and other hot sauce crops like garlic, onions, and herbs. We’ll sample a variety of hot sauces and pastes and wrap up with a hot-sauce making demonstration and lots of time for Q & A and sharing experiences with each other. Please bring a small empty jar if you’d like to take home some sauce!
