About this Event
In this DIY Bath + Beauty Workshop, learn how to create natural, healthy products that you'll love using. Take home one sample from each batch and recreate them on your own at home once you run out!
During this class, we'll go step-by-step to make batches of the following products:
- Whipped body butter
- Moisturizing lip balm
- Natural deodorant
- Soothing bath soak
- Refreshing shower steamer
In addition to making these custom products to take home, you will learn how to:
- Adapt recipes for your own skincare needs
- Select and blend high quality oils and butters
- Prep your work station and find the right tools for efficiency
- Use essential oils and flavor oils safely
- Troubleshoot common DIY product challenges

How do I get to the venue and where can I find parking?
This class will be held at Motor City Soap's studio, a makerspace in a neighborhood called Core City in Detroit. We're located on Loraine St. just south of Grand River, near the I-94 and I-96 overpass. The studio is accessible by public transportation on the Grand River bus (#3) and the Warren bus (#8). Parking is located in the back of the building, through the electronic sliding gate. If the gate is closed, call or text 313-757-2129 and Caitlyn will let you in.

Is my ticket transferrable?
Yes! If you are unable to attend after purchasing your ticket, feel free to pass it along to another DIY enthusiast.
Is there an age restriction?
This class is designed for participants 18 and up. However, Caitlyn is happy to work with you to create a special event for little humans! Contact caitlyn (at) motorcitysoap (dot) com to start planning.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope, just check in with Caitlyn upon arrival.
