About this Event
Come learn how to build a DIY air purifier, have any questions you may have answered, and connect with fellow community members who care about clean air! We will discuss how to build these air purifiers, where to get supplies to build more or get replacement filters, why they work, and how to use them. We will have a limited number of supplies available for attendees to take CR boxes home with them.
Ticket Tiers:
- Build a Box (Pay a Portion)
This ticket includes supplies to make your own CR Box to take home with you. Paying for a portion of supply costs allows us to provide more boxes for free/at a lower cost for people who need it! Supplies for a single CR Box cost roughly $75. - Build a Box (Free)
This ticket includes supplies to make your own CR Box to take home with you. If you can, consider getting a Pay a Portion ticket instead. Paying for a portion of supply costs allows us to provide more boxes for free/at a lower cost for people who need it! Supplies for a single CR Box cost roughly $75, and we are able to provide lower cost tickets options thanks to Project Rainbow, Pay a Portion tickets, and additional donations. - Tag Along
This ticket does NOT include supplies to make your own CR Box. Great for if you are tagging along with someone who is building a box, bringing your own supplies, or just want to learn!
About SLC Covid Education:
SLC Covid Education is a grassroots organization that prioritizes combatting the disinformation about COVID-19. Our goal is to increase Covid consciousness and to reduce the spread of COVID in Salt Lake and beyond. We provide information and resources to those who may be re-integrating Covid consciousness into their lives, or who have been doing this since the beginning of the pandemic. We come to this work with an anti-ableist and anti-racist stance. We acknowledge that these are active practices that require ongoing learning.
