*Annakoot and Govardhan Puja Celebrations at Swindon Hindu Temple*:We invite you to come and join us for Annakoot and Govardhan Puja celebrations on 9th Nov. Swindon Hindu Temple has been observing this popular festival for last 11 years, and in 2023, we also had the authentic handmade Govardhan for the very first time in Swindon and Wiltshire to further enrich the experience.
Govardhan Puja is the 4th day of the 5 day long Diwali festivities and is observed to thank deities for their blessings and beneficence. This festival is celebrated by Hindus to commemorate the history of Govardhan Parbat. On this auspicious day, devotees offer food and delicacies, Chhappan Bhog to Krishna Bhagwan.
