On behalf of District Governor Charles “Chuck” Mockbee IV, we welcome you to a fun-filled weekend at the Holiday Inn Champaign. Come celebrate with great food, learning sessions, seeing old friends, and making new ones, and Be a Champion for Lions!
Come and meet our International Guest for the weekend, International Director Lion Daniel Marney-Elkins from Delaware. You will have the opportunity to speak with him about what is going on at the International level and get some of your burning questions about our organization answered. He will be with us all weekend long.
The events will kick off on Friday evening with an LCIF Celebration dinner. We will celebrate the success of the 2025-2026 Lions year and kick off the 2026-2027 giving year. We will give out some awards, talk everything LCIF, and finish up the evening with a DJ and dancing. Then Saturday morning everything really gets going in the conference center with our opening session, seminars, silent auction, exhibitors, fun, and fellowship. We will hold all seminars in one room so that everyone can hear what all our presenters have to say. We will learn about the different service opportunities that are available to our clubs through the Illinois Organ Donor Program to helping those with mental health issues to learning about Human Trafficking from a survivor advocate and survivor herself. We will also have a session on how we can get involved with Special Olympics ---- Come prepared to learn a lot.
Dress code for the weekend is Lions casual. Show off your club shirts or vests and be comfortable for this fun event. Even for the Saturday night banquet, come as you are, no need to dress up. You most certainly can if you want though. PDG's feel free to wear your District Governor Jackets during the lunch session as well will acknowledge our great past leaders then.
You can register by filling out the paperwork and mailing that and a check to Lion Jennifer Perrine at the address listed or go to the website. To book your hotel room you can call the hotel directly at the number on the website. PLEASE BOOK NOW to ensure that there is a room available for YOU.
