This qualification raises learners’ awareness of mental health, develops an understanding on how to support, reassure and signpost fellow colleagues to professional support. Supporting the people around us who are experiencing poor mental health has become a priority for many people and the organisations they work in. A greater understanding of common mental health issues has developed over the last few years and there has been a rise in the number of people who want to act as a Mental Health First Aider, to support and guide those around them.
