About this Event
Join Sam Macvie, Warwickshire vice-county recorder for bryophytes, to learn about these amazing little plants which are all around us. Find out the difference between mosses and liverworts, how to identify some of the common species you may find in Foundry Wood and in your garden, as well as why the British Isles are such a fantastic place for these species internationally. If you have a hand lens, please do bring it, otherwise these will be provided.
Bryophytes are better in the rain (or just after), so inclement weather needn’t be a problem. However, please dress appropriately for the season. No prior knowledge or experience needed!
Meet at the Open Classroom at 2pm.
Please book your FREE place as there are limited spaces.
Email [email protected] if you have any questions.
