About this Event
Discover the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians with us on our Discover Herpetology Series! This first program in the series focuses on our mysterious neighbor- the alligator. Remaining largely unchanged for millions of years, this ancient aquatic reptile lives among us in all 67 of Florida’s counties.
Join us for a closer look at one of Florida’s most iconic wild residents as we explore alligator behavior, biology, habitat, and the important role these incredible predators play in our ecosystems. Learn to separate fact from fiction, discover what makes alligators such remarkable survivors, and gain a better understanding of how to safely and respectfully coexist with them in the wild.
