A true pioneer of San Francisco’s underground dance culture, Steve Fabus has spent more than five decades behind the decks, shaping the sound and spirit of disco, Hi-NRG, and house. From the legendary dance floors of the I-Beam, Trocadero Transfer, and the EndUp to co-founding San Francisco’s beloved Go BANG!, Fabus has helped keep the art of the DJ and the culture of the dance floor alive and evolving. His reach extends from London’s Horse Meat Disco to Glastonbury, carrying the soulful, boundary-pushing spirit of queer club culture to dance floors around the world. Join us with additional support by Resident Dj Freshie as CLIMAX celebrates three years at Aunt Charlie’s Lounge with a true legend still making history. Thursday, November 5, 2026, 8 PM ’til late. Long live the dance floor.Freshie:
With an ear for both the microcosmic and bogglingly enormous, Dj Freshie (FKA Freshstep) has been murdering dance floors by caressing of the wheels of steel since since the age of 18. Mr. Freeman has held residencies in San Francisco, Chicago, St.Louis, Minneapolis, Tokyo, Seoul, and Bangkok. Though currently residing in San Francisco, he got his start DJing in Chicago. His fusion of House, Soul, Disco, Electro, Italo and early eighties Hip Hop was initially catalyzed as a kid in the back seat of his Dad’s car, while in a child’s planning stages for Nasa engineering and Double Dare invitation, he was forced, yet delighted, to listen to and dissect a whole generation Dance B sides, esoteric even for the time. His mission: to weave all the static out there into grassroots, connect one blade to the next, and weave a culturally rich soundscape for all to enjoy.
