Disability Language & Culture: Learning from Lived ExperienceJoin STARS Program Director Kaleb Cook for an engaging Disability Language & Culture Seminar exploring disability identity, respectful language, and the importance of learning directly from disabled people. Drawing from his professional experience in adaptive recreation and his own lived experience as an autistic, OCD, and ADHD individual, Kaleb will share personal perspectives and practical insights into navigating disability in everyday life.
This seminar is an opportunity to ask questions, expand your understanding, and build a more inclusive approach to working with and supporting disabled individuals. Whether you work in adaptive recreation, serve the community, or simply want to learn, all are welcome!
