After a break, Julie T’s popular Dips, Drops & Leans Workshop is back!
Julie T has been teaching Dips since 2003 and has been hosting and teaching Dips Workshops since 2005.
Learn some of Julie T’s favourite Dips, Drops & Leans and add some extra style to your freestyle repertoire.
Whether you want to impress your dance partners, add something special to your freestyle, or you’re preparing for performance or competition, this workshop will focus on getting the technique right — safe, stylish and controlled.
Julie T, partnered by Louie Z, will take you through the techniques for executing each movement, including how to enter and exit safely.
The Dips will be taught within a mini freestyle routine, so you’ll learn not only the moves, but how to put them together and use them on the dance floor.

Dance Level: Intermediate Modern Jive
Suitable for dancers who have completed at least 8 Modern Jive classes and regularly attend Intermediate-level classes.
PRACTICE & FEEDBACK
The workshop includes 2 hours of tuition + 30 minutes of deliberate practice.
The final 30 minutes gives you time to consolidate what you’ve learned, with instructor feedback and assistance.
Afterwards, stay for our friendly Chill ’N Chat in the Wenty Cafe.
PARTNERING
Partner preferred. Rotation MAY be available depending on the lead/follow ratio. Best to book with a partner.
Singles may be waitlisted initially to help maintain a balanced lead/follow ratio.
💰 COST
$45 per person
+$5 surcharge for payment on the day.

Payment on the day attracts a $5 surcharge.
No refunds within 7 days of the workshop.

Video recording is not permitted during the workshop.
Wenty Leagues requires photo ID to enter the club.
