About this Event
This March, The Roses welcomes singer Hersh Dagmarr in an intimate residency exploring the haunting tale of a forgotten performer.
Once on the cusp of stardom in Weimar Berlin’s legendary cabaret scene, Dagmarr vanished without a trace. Now, suspended between life and death and refusing to accept his fate, he returns with delusions of a grand comeback—a musical about his own life and lost glory.
Through songs by Edith Piaf, Mischa Spoliansky, Friedrich Hollaender, Iggy Pop, Eartha Kitt, and even Kylie, Dagmarr weaves together memories of Paris and Berlin’s golden age with the desperation of a spectre clinging to applause.
A haunting evening of music and memories. Not to be missed. With Karen Newby and George Webster on piano.
The show will be accompanied by a three course meal by Paola Carlini (@paocarlini)
