About this Event
Digitalisation can help unlock a more connected, efficient and sustainable construction sector, particularly when combined with industrialisation. Together, they create new opportunities to transform how construction is planned, coordinated and delivered. Realising this potential at scale depends on how effectively demand, capability, information and assurance are connected across the construction ecosystem.
This transformation requires working differently – with greater visibility, consistency and more interoperable systems across projects and organisations.
This event, hosted by the Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory (LCEI) at LJMU and supported by the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), will bring together organisations from across construction, manufacturing, digital and the wider built environment to explore the conditions needed to enable a more connected, coordinated and interoperable construction ecosystem.
Bringing together different perspectives, discussions will explore a set of interconnected themes, including:
- Connecting demand, capability and delivery across the construction ecosystem
- Improving the visibility and flow of information to support better planning and decision-making
- Enabling greater consistency and interoperability across projects and organisations
- Strengthening coordination between clients, manufacturers, suppliers, delivery teams and other ecosystem actors
- Building confidence through more effective information exchange and assurance
- Identifying practical opportunities for collaboration, testing and future development
Participants will have the opportunity to share practical experience, connect with organisations from across the sector and contribute to discussions around what needs to be in place for this transformation to happen at scale.
