From Digital Money to Tokenized Finance
The transformation of money is entering a new phase.
The digital euro is moving from design towards implementation. Stablecoins and tokenised bank money are becoming increasingly relevant for payments and settlement. Tokenization is reshaping financial markets, while new public and private infrastructures are emerging to connect traditional and on-chain finance.
On 8 April 2027, the Digital Euro Conference (#DEC27) returns to Frankfurt am Main to bring together the public and private sectors shaping this transition.
By then, preparations for the digital euro pilot will be well advanced, with 36 selected payment service providers preparing for the operational pilot planned to start in the second half of 2027. Europe will also be moving forward with new infrastructure for tokenized finance through initiatives such as Pontes and Appia.
Against this backdrop, #DEC27 will move beyond the question of what digital money could become and focus increasingly on what is being built, how it will work, who will use it and how Europe's future financial infrastructure should evolve.
Expect thought-provoking keynotes, high-level panel discussions, interactive roundtables and meaningful conversations across the public and private sectors.
