Digital Empowerment Day: Tech for Today, Ready for Tomorrow
Digital Durham is hosting Digital Empowerment Day: Tech for Today, Ready for Tomorrow, a free community event for anyone who wants to feel more confident with technology, whether that means learning the basics of AI, protecting yourself and your family online, or discovering how digital tools can help your small business or nonprofit organization grow. You can be a total beginner or already tech-savvy, there's a session for you.
We will have expert speakers, workshops for all skill levels, and a resource fair packed with local organizations ready to help.
This event is open to the entire community: small business owners, nonprofit organization leaders, community partners, parents, seniors, students, and curious residents.
What to expect:
- Practical, hands-on sessions on AI basics for everyday use
- Cybersecurity and online safety session for you and your family
- Digital tools to assist your small business and nonprofits in thriving
- A keynote with Chisa Pennix-Brown
- A resource fair connecting you with local organizations and services
- Lunch will be provided
