Dig + Disconnect Workshops
Intro to DJing w/ Miyagi Education
===
Dig + Disconnect is Miyagi Records’ weekly workshop series built around slow listening, creative practice, and community time.
Each session opens up a different entry point into music culture — from digging and taste-making to open decks, zine-making, guest selectors, and hands-on skill-building. It’s for collectors, DJs, artists, listeners, and anyone looking to step away from the scroll and reconnect with sound in real life.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are 15 rsvp slots available since not everyone who RSVPs shows up. BUT! The maximum capacity for this workshop is 8 people. Entry will be first come. Early arrival suggested!!

=== about the artist ===
Miyagi Education is the learning arm of Miyagi Records. We design workshops, labs, and ritual spaces that teach DJing, visual practice, and cultural organizing—rooted in Black and brown lineages and diasporas, in analog culture, and in community care.
We honor practices that existed before and beyond colonial ideas of race and nation, while recognizing how those same practices traveled, transformed, and survived across oceans, borders, and generations.
We treat the shop as a classroom and a lab all at once.
