Join with Branch 50 UNWLA to explore the Ukrainian traditional craft of Didukh, made from sheaves of wheat, which symbolize ancestral memory, hope, and abundant harvest. Watch Hunger for Truth: The Rhea Clyman Story (2018), the compelling documentary following Rhea Clyman, a courageous Canadian reporter who was one of the first Western eyewitnesses to the famine.
In 1932, Clyman drove through Eastern Ukraine, documenting the harsh realities hidden from the rest of the world.
We will close with a moment of silence to honor the victims of the Holodomor genocide 1932-33.
