SAVE THE DATE!We are extremely excited to welcome back international tango stars Diana Cruz and Nick Jones to Bury St Edmunds for two special workshops on Mon 30th November and Tues 1st of December 2026.
Diana Cruz is an evocative and deeply expressive tango artist, known for her refined technique, emotional intensity, and luminous stage presence. With years of international teaching and performance experience, she brings a rare blend of precision, creativity, and authentic connection to every partner and piece of music.
Diana’s work places a profound emphasis on listening and embodied musicality. She offers dancers a deeply integrated understanding of movement and partnership, helping them move beyond patterns toward a more authentic form of expression.

Doors open at 7pm for warm up
Workshop (90 minutes) 7:30 - 9pm, practica afterwards until 10:30pm.
Cost: £15 per workshop
No need to book or bring a partner.

Monday 30th November: Boleos (Intermediate level).
For this lesson we ask that dancers have a good grounding in the following areas in order to attend. If you think that you may need to polish up your skills before the lesson then our regular lessons in November will work on these areas and we also have a practica on the 17th which is a great time to check in on these topics and ask for any help if needed.
- leaders, being aware of the follower's axis and moving around this in a circular fashion to not disturb it
- followers, good ocho and giro technique, being on axis in the pivot, full hip rotation (hiding one hip)
- contra body movements
Tuesday 1st December: Topic TBC (Improver level).
This lesson is not suitable for absolute beginners but is otherwise open to all dancers. The lesson will be technique based and so will also offer development for more experienced dancers.
