Part of our referral-based, comprehensive outpatient Diabetes Self-Management Education and Training Program, these 90-minute group classes are taken in a four-week series and are designed to empower individuals to take control in the successful management of their diabetes. Learn from a certified diabetes care and education specialist, nurses, dietitians, and other health care providers to gain the knowledge and skills to manage your diabetes with confidence.Class 1: Diabetes management, pathophysiology, chronic complications, medications (oral and GLP-1).
Class 2: Healthy eating (part 1), lifestyle and healthy coping.
Class 3: Monitoring, acute complications, medication (insulin), distress and support.
Class 4: Being active, healthy eating (part 2).
