About this Event
Join the Brazilian Cultural Center of Chicago for an afternoon exploring Afro-Brazilian culture through music, dance, video screenings, and conversation.
In recognition of Dia da Consciência Negra (Black Consciousness Day) in Brazil, this program introduces audiences to cultural expressions rooted in the history, creativity, and experiences of Black communities across Brazil.
Through selected video presentations and conversation, we will explore the connections between music, movement, cultural memory, and the preservation of ancestral knowledge.
This gathering offers an opportunity to learn more about Brazil beyond the familiar images, uncover the diversity of cultural expressions, and connect with others interested in music, dance, history, and cultural exchange.
All are welcome.
