Once a year, on the full moon of Kartik, Kashi comes alive with one of the most spectacular celebrations on the Ganga.Over a million diyas are lit across the 84 ghats of the Ganga, from Assi to Rajghat, transforming the entire riverfront into a river of gold. Locals believe that on this night, the gods themselves descend to Kashi to bathe in the Ganga and celebrate Lord Shiva's victory over Tripurasura.There is only one way to truly experience the celebration: from the water.From the ghats, the crowds can make it difficult to take in the entire spectacle. From the boat, guests can experience the illuminated ghats stretching across the river, flickering diyas reflecting on the water, the Ganga Aarti glowing along the riverfront, and fireworks lighting up the sky above the city.This Is Not A Crowded FerryOnly 45 guests will be hosted on a single boat, creating a more intimate experience for the evening. From Maidagin, continue towards Machhodari and Gai Ghat Road.- On Dev Deepawali, vehicle movement near the ghats is restricted by the administration, so please be prepared to walk the final stretch to the ghat.- Look for the Kashi and Kin host at the top of the Gaay Ghat steps near the Nandi statue.- Please leave early.
