For this intimate Designer for a Day experience, six women will step inside Studio Time Dallas for a day of fashion, fabrication, champagne, conversation, and Paris Baguette pastries, coffee, and water.
You’ll work with our selected resort-weight fabric in this gorgeous black-and-beige statement print sourced from our professional fabric partners and create your own resort piece under Bridgette’s guidance.
Think Palm trees. Rooftop dinners. Late lunches. Airport lounges. Poolside cocktails. City weekends.
And the best part?
You made the damn thing.

WHAT YOU WILL MAKE:
THE RESORT SHIRT DRESS
A relaxed, sophisticated button-front silhouette that can be worn:
- open over swimwear
- belted as a dress
- with trousers
- with jeans
- over a slip
- as resort-to-dinner dressing
That’s a garment with wardrobe mileage, which is important for the elevated woman.
SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
- how to sewing & serging seams
- inserting sleeves
- attaching a collar and placket
- using the amazing one-step button hole machine
- finishing techniques

Bridgette is a professional fashion designer who has manufactured and sold beautiful garments. She is also a current fashion professor at a local fashion college. She has mastered the art of streamlining certain design processes to create simplified versions for your enjoyment. 🥂
You only need to show up ready to create. Once you sign up, I will reach out to you to get your size and all pieces will be pre-cut and ready for you to put together.
