A perfect creative experience to do with friends!Learning to solder silver is the start of your journey into the world of metalwork. In this class, you will learn how to create your very own, custom-made to fit, sterling silver ring.
We will begin with an overview of safety concerns, soldering tools, materials and techniques. Then we will fire up our torches and learn how to solder. Some metalwork finishing techniques will be discussed.
Students can select and choose what style ring they would like to make (oval, round, or heart shaped).
Students will learn how to create and solder their ring out of sterling silver wire.
They will use basic metalsmithing skills such as filing, sawing, hammering and soldering.
No experience required. Max 6 Students
Recommended ages 16+
Workshop Fee: $135 +HST per person, includes kit fee for materials.
Workshop is held in our Minesing studio location.
