About this Event
What You’ll Experience
Step into the world of traditional Italian capmaking at Cappelleria Bertacchi in Vancouver. Over four Monday evenings, master hat maker Adi Bertacchi will guide you through the art of cutting, sewing, and finishing your own flat caps — one step at a time.
You’ll make two caps: the classic coppola, the cap of southern Italy, and the vintage 50 Pence. Two different constructions, brought to life with professional tools, quality wool, and hands-on instruction. Working across four sessions means you’ll have the time to learn each stage properly, without rushing.
By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with two handcrafted Bertacchi flat caps that are truly yours.
Schedule
- Monday, November 9 — Session 1
- Monday, November 16 — Session 2
- Monday, November 23 — Session 3
- Monday, November 30 — Session 4
Each session runs 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm (12 hours total). The course is progressive, so attendance at all four evenings is recommended.
