DES ROCS
Des Rocs is the rock project of New York songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Danny Rocco, built around a maximalist blend of classic rock, alternative, and modern arena rock. Drawing from artists like Queen, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and Muse, Rocco has developed a sound that pairs massive guitar riffs and soaring vocals with the intimacy and experimentation of a DIY studio approach. Since launching Des Rocs in 2018, he has released three full-length albums, beginning with A Real Good Person in a Real Bad Place (2021) and Dream Machine (2023), while touring with artists including The Rolling Stones, Muse, The Struts, and The Cult.
In 2026, Des Rocs released his third album, To Hell and Back, via Sumerian Records, pushing his sound toward a more raw and live-recorded approach. Rather than building the record entirely through layered studio production, Rocco brought drums, bass, and guitar players together to capture the physical chemistry of a band playing in a room, while retaining the DIY instincts that have defined his work. The album follows recent releases including “This Land,” featured in the Borderlands 4 soundtrack, and “When the Love Is Gone,” and marks another step in Rocco’s ongoing effort to create a distinctly modern form of rock without simply recreating the genre’s past.
