About this Event
Before there was Halloween, there was Samhain. Samhain is the ancient Celtic summer’s end. As the harvest concludes and the world tilts toward the stillness of winter, we gather to honor the sacred threshold where the veil grows thin.
For our ancestors, this was the Celtic New Yea. A potent time of death and rebirth. Just as the earth prepares for its winter sleep, we come together to honour the natural cycles we are part of.
Derby Women’s Circle is a cosy, welcoming space where women come together to rest, reconnect, and be themselves.
Our circles offer a gentle mix of conversation, reflection, guided meditation, and the simple joy of sharing space with others. You don’t need any prior experience or knowledge — just a willingness to show up and be part of a supportive community.
Each gathering is a little different, but you can expect:
🌿 A warm, inclusive environment (we are proudly LGBT+ inclusive).
🍵 Herbal tea and space to unwind.
🌕 Guided meditation and grounding practice (please bring a yoga mat as you'll be invited to lie down for a body scan meditation).
💬 Opportunities to reflect, connect, and share.
🌱Our circles are inspired and rooted in the rhythms of nature.
