About this Event
Acclaimed metro Detroit singer-songwriters and co-founders of the recently reunited Havilland (Detroit's only undiscovered rock supergroup) Dennis Proctor and Sam Forsyth team up for a double solo show and album release party on February 21st at Ghost Light in Hamtramck. Local ProcStock favorites, The Ay-Oh Oh-Ays, will open the show.
Sam Forsyth released his outstanding solo debut album, Dispatches from the Great Commission, earlier this year. Currently being featured on UMFM 101.5's Alphabet Soup and available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms, Dispatches is 12 tracks of perfect, melodic indie rock perfection. Sam also released a bonus EP with another pair of killer tunes last month. He did not host a release party for either of these gems, so this night will serve as a belated, well-deserved celebration of Sam's impressive 2025 output.
Dennis Proctor is releasing a new album! This show will serve as the release party for his second solo release, Deuce. Just over two years after his solo debut, Halfway Done, Deuce weaves more of the Beatlesque hooks with the timeless power pop and infuses it with a vibrant burst of explosive folk rock energy. Lead single, "Let It Rain," spent time in heavy rotation on Michigan's own Sonic Coast radio earlier this year. Dennis also released an explosive follow-up EP, Dandelion Greens, in February. Come see Dennis play songs from Deuce--after 22 years of getting used to it.
