October 30th, 2026 6:30 PMHere’s how to get your Pokémon Player ID (it’s free, takes ~10 min, and you need it to sign up for events):
Go to pokemon.com and click “Visit Pokémon Trainer Central” (on a phone it’s at the bottom of the menu). Create an account and verify your email. If you already have a Pokémon Trainer Club login from Pokémon GO or TCG Live, just use that — don’t make a second account.
Log in at trainer.pokemon.com, click “Play! Pokémon” in the left menu, then “Create a Play! Pokémon Account.”
Fill in the info until you hit “Enter Your Player ID.” Pick “I do not have a Player ID” and hit Continue. (If a store already gave you a Player ID card, pick “I have a Player ID” and enter the number and PIN from the card instead.)
Your Player ID now shows under your name. Screenshot it — you’ll give us that number plus your full name every time you sign up for an event.
For kids under 13: a parent creates their own account first, then clicks “Add a Child” in the left menu, makes the kid’s account, switches to the kid’s name, and does step 2–3 from there. Each kid gets their own ID.
