About the Film
Deep in the Heart 2: Texas Rivers is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 hit documentary Deep in the Heart: A Texas Wildlife Story. Where the original film celebrated Texas’ diverse wildlife landscapes with Matthew McConaughey as narrator, Texas Rivers narrows its focus to the state’s most vital natural resource: water. Narrated by Austin’s own Ethan Hawke, the film is a love letter to Texas rivers and a wake-up call about their future.
