In preparation for Beaujolais Nouveau Day (aka our fave day of the year), we're diving deep into the history and terroir of our beloved Beaujolais.
Join us for an evening with Wine & Spirits Best New Sommelier winner Vanessa Rea-Marcel as we uncover the Beaujolais less traveled; from the cult classics to the up-and-comers and everything in-between, this class is an absolute must for understanding Beaujolais in a whole new way, whether you're a longtime lover of the region or someone just getting to know this darling of the wine world.
We'll explore the region's redemption arc history, its role in the beginnings of the natural wine movement, and the challenges the region faces as we look to the future. We'll taste 3 wines together that showcase the terroir and integrity of the region, and attendees will leave with a solid understanding of Beaujolais and its place in the wine world. A better preparation for Beaujolais Nouveau Day doesn't exist!
This is a one-hour class held at Wild Child (30 Bow St, Somerville). Tickets include 3 tasting pours.
