It's one of our favourite weekends of the year… the Dee & Griffin Dog Swim is back! 🐶💦Join us for a very special end-of-season weekend as our four-legged friends take over Cheltenham Lido.
Whether your dog is a natural water baby or would rather cautiously dip a paw, come along to swim, splash and enjoy the Lido together.
This is a pre-booked ticket-only event and dogs cannot be registered on the day.
Please arrive 30 minutes before your allocated entry time to allow plenty of time for registration.
Spectators are very welcome and can enter at our normal admission prices; however, only dogs registered for the event will be permitted on site.
If you're unsure about your dog's swimming ability or confidence, we'd recommend coming prepared to get into the water with them. Wetsuits are advised but are not compulsory.
🌡️ The pool will be approximately 21°C.
All dogs must be accompanied by at least one person aged 16+.
Dogs must remain on a lead while in the Lido grounds and should only be let off when entering the water.
Please bring plenty of poo bags and clean up after your dog. Some bags will also be available from Reception if you run out. We'd really appreciate everyone's help in keeping our lawns and grounds clean throughout the weekend.
As our pool uses a chlorine product, we recommend rinsing your dog thoroughly after swimming.
Hoses will be available outside both changing areas and our outdoor showers can also be used. Dogs are not permitted inside the indoor changing rooms or toilets.
We also recommend encouraging your dog to drink fresh water afterwards. Water bowls will be available around the poolside, although you're welcome to bring your own.
Your dog's welfare remains your responsibility at all times. Owners agree to this as part of the disclaimer completed during the booking process.
Make a day of it! We'll have a selection of stallholders joining us across the weekend, with plenty to browse while you're here.
We'll also be holding our annual Dog Swim raffle, with prizes including:
🎟️ A Cheltenham Lido Season Ticket
🐾 Free entry to the 2027 Dog Swim
🎁 Plus plenty more!
Most stallholders will accept both cash and card payments.
We can't wait to welcome you and your four-legged friends for another unforgettable Dog Swim weekend! 🐶💙
Advance booking is essential - secure your dog's place before sessions sell out.
