About this Event
In this Garden Salon session, we will gather, write and discuss what it means and looks like to be grateful. We will explore indigenous concepts and applications of gratitude from around the world, write something to an original prompt, and engage in a conversation that is both critical and nourishing.
Bring something to write with! There is never pressure to share your work. Participants are given 30 minutes to write to a prompt and read over their work. Once you register and pay, details about the event will be emailed a week in advance with a reminder on the Friday before our session. I look forward to writing with you!
The Garden Salon is a hub for creativity and connection. Through prompted writing and facilitated discussion, participants generate powerful art and deeper understanding of self and each other.
If you are looking to make this holiday season more meaningful, more set in your values and expression, the Decolonize Gratitude session has space for you.
We will begin the session at 1:30. Please arrive early to park, get a beverage and settle in. Your steward for the session, Dallas, will lead introductions and offer context for the session theme. And then the writing begins.
Participants have 30 minutes to write something that did not exist before. We will break out into small groups and then share in a larger discussion about our writing process, discoveries, and new questions that have arisen from the process.
Bring something to write with and headphones if you prefer to listen to music.
