About this Event
Deck the Shelves, presented by Shelf Indulgence, is holiday bookish market that brings together authors, artists, makers, small businesses, and book lovers for a festive day of shopping, community, and fun!
Join us on Small Business Saturday, November 28th, 2026 from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM for a full day of holiday shopping featuring independent authors, bookish vendors, handcrafted goods, gifts, accessories, art, and more.
After the incredible response to our previous markets, we’re taking Deck the Shelves off site, allowing us to feature more vendors/authors, create wider walkways, and give you all plenty of space to browse at your own pace!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Independent and local authors, across varrying genres.
• Bookish artists, makers, and small businesses
• Signed books and author meet-and-greets
• Holiday gifts and stocking stuffers
• Reader-inspired apparel, accessories, art, and more
• A welcoming, inclusive, book-loving community
• Plenty of opportunities to shop small this holiday season
Deck the Shelves is proudly organized by Shelf Indulgence, Tacoma’s romance-exclusive bookstore.

Deck the Shelves is also an AI-free market: participating authors and vendors may not sell, display, promote, or use generative AI-created artwork, writing, designs, or products as part of their participation.
