Get cozy with our read-aloud gathering while you sketch, sew, crochet, or just enjoy some tea and listen - join us at the amazing Philosopher's House for December’s pick - A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. For this read-aloud book club, no one has to read anything in advance, and there's nothing you gotta prep - just show up as you are (though you may enjoy bringing a handicraft for your listening time). Cmon in to the Teahouse, grab a snack, and enjoy the weirdly wholesome community of a readaloud.
The format: I read some short stories or part of a novel aloud for the group with regular commentary and chapter breaks for random group discussion and an "intermission" halfway through. These readalouds are perfect for a feeling of casual community, also perfect for listener crafts, mending clothes, or coloring books - there is plenty of socializing opportunity before and after if desired (but never NEVER ever required).
