Join Farah Momen of AncestralRebel for a three-course Bengali dinner marking Bangladesh Victory Day through food, memory, and shared histories. Featuring Indigenous American ingredients, the dinner will reflect on the 1971 genocide during Bangladesh’s Liberation War and consider how histories of mass violence, colonialism, and survival connect to Indigenous experiences on American lands and ongoing global struggles for self-determination.
To preserve the storytelling experience, the specific menu will remain a surprise until the day of the dinner. Guests will have the opportunity to share allergies, dietary restrictions, and food dislikes in the ticket registration form, and the chef will work to accommodate everyone's needs.

6:00pm / Arrival and welcome: Gather around the table and settle in.
6:30pm / A three-course dinner: Each course offers a window into Bengali foodways, Indigenous ingredients, and the histories behind what we eat.
Throughout the dinner, we’ll reflect on Bangladesh’s Liberation War, the 1971 genocide, Indigenous histories, and the broader relationships between memory, resistance, and self-determination.
8:30pm / Closing reflections: Make space for questions, shared perspectives, and continued conversation.

About Farah Momen
Farah Momen is the co-founder of AncestralRebel and a chef, storyteller, and social impact practitioner. She founded and led Bondhu, a culinary community space in the Berkshires that centered underrepresented food stories through dining experiences. Farah brings more than a decade of experience in social enterprise, public education, and consulting alongside her work as a chef. She has also appeared on Top Chef Amateurs.
