The longest-running thriller in Broadway history
Sidney Bruhl writes thrillers for Broadway — recently, rather unsuccessfully. After a string of flops, he suddenly sees a light at the end of the writer’s-block tunnel when his student Clifford Anderson hands him a script that’s just crying out to be a hit. Exactly what Sidney needs right now! Jokingly, he tells his wife, Myra, that he’s going to K*ll Clifford and steal the promising play.
Full of twists and turns, DEATHTRAP has always been a genre-defining play, keeping audiences worldwide captivated. The play holds the record as the longest-running comedy-thriller on Broadway, received four Tony Award nominations – including Best Play – and won the Edgar Award for Best Play.
Both hilariously funny and grippingly suspenseful, DEATHTRAP is an absolute must-see.
