About the author:
Carter Pugh writes stabby romantasy and dark urban fantasy mysteries set in modern-day Charlotte, NC. Her work blends murder, magic, found family, and slow-burn tension—stories where women save themselves and the truth is rarely what it seems.
The Death Book Series—beginning with Death Rattle—has captured readers with its twisty mysteries, fae politics, and emotionally charged characters. When Carter isn’t writing, she’s connecting with readers at book fairs, hosting events, or building community across the Carolinas’ indie author scene.
She lives in Charlotte with her husband and their beloved senior goldendoodle, always dreaming up the next world to set on fire.
