The 8th Annual Ozone Songwriter Festival opens with country music icon Deana Carter in an intimate evening of songs, stories and live music, featuring special guests Jaime Floyd and Greg Barnhill.
Deana Carter became one of the defining voices of ’90s country with her multi-platinum debut album Did I Shave My Legs for This? and the No. 1 hit “Strawberry Wine.” Her beloved catalog also includes “We Danced Anyway” and “How Do I Get There.”
Joining her are acclaimed, Grammy-nominated songwriters and performers Jaime Floyd and Greg Barnhill. Together, they’ll share unforgettable songs, stories behind the music, exceptional musicianship and spontaneous moments that can only happen live.
The festival continues November 7–8 throughout Historic Downtown Covington with more than 100 live performances across multiple stages and venues, including the outdoor Trailhead Stage. Enjoy a Kids Zone, seminars, food, drinks, shopping, family activities and original music.
The Saturday and Sunday festival is free and open to the public. The Deana Carter showcase is the festival’s only ticketed event.

Proceeds support the nonprofit Ozone Music Foundation, expanding opportunities for young musicians, songwriters and performers across the Northshore, Louisiana and the Gulf South.
