Halloween is getting a little bit longer this year.Dead Northern returns to City Screen for a full night of cult horror, kicking off at 10:30pm on Halloween and taking you through the dead of night and into the dawn with a relentless quintet of classics.
Five cult horror classics. One cinema. One very long night.
The first 3 cult favourites we’re bringing back to the big screen:
THE RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD
Braiiiiiiins!
Dan O’Bannon’s punk-fuelled classic turns the night into a riot of flesh, as zombies rise from the grave in one of the greatest horror-comedies ever made.
FROM BEYOND (40th anniversary)
Something’s coming!!
Stuart Gordon’s staggering follow-up to Re-Animator opens up a whole new dimension in Lovecraftian madness, mad doctors, monsters, mutations - and Barbara Crampton!
NIGHT OF THE CREEPS (40th anniversary)
Tom Atkins reigns supreme and delivers his best lines in one of the most under-rated party-horror movies of the decade; battling cosmic parasites and alien infested, frat-house students.
Thrill me!
And that's only three of the five.
Two more films will be revealed soon.
Expect cult horror, midnight mayhem, big-screen classics and the kind of atmosphere you only get when a cinema full of horror fans stays awake until sunrise.
So grab your mates, stock up on caffeine and settle in.
STAY UP. STAY DEAD.
