Come with us to a German-style Christmas market! This Awaken Travel Club day trip heads down to the Cullman Christkindlmarkt in Cullman, Alabama, and everyone is welcome.
Please note the day: this is a FRIDAY, December 11.
How the day runs:
- 1:00 PM Eastern: we leave from Abba's House, 5208 Hixson Pike, Hixson
- A stop along the way at the famous Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro
- Afternoon and evening at the market to shop, wander and eat dinner
- We stay past sundown, when the whole park lights up
- Around 7:00 our time (Eastern) we head for home, so plan on a late evening
Cullman is on Central time, so your phone will jump back an hour on the way down.
At the market (Depot Park, 107 Arnold St NW, Cullman, AL):
- Free admission
- More than 40 vendors, wooden chalets, handmade gifts and German food
- Ice skating, a double decker carousel and horse carriage rides
- Alabama's largest Ferris wheel, a 108 foot ride brought over from Germany
We're going by motor coach, there and back, leaving from Abba's House, 5208 Hixson Pike in Hixson, at 1:00 PM Eastern. $89 a person covers your seat and your driver's tip. There are 50 seats, and paying is what holds yours. Add your name on our website and we'll email you the link to your trip page, where you'll see how to pay.
