About this Event
Día de los Muertos is a beautiful Mexican tradition of remembering and honoring loved ones who have passed, with food, flowers, music, stories, and celebration. Because it is a tradition our Bakers celebrate in our own homes, we're excited to share a little piece of it with you ❤️
We'll start the workshop with a warm, freshly baked Pan de Muerto inspired sourdough cinnamon roll and a glass of homemade Jamaica while we share a little about the history and traditions of Día de los Muertos. Then it's your turn to create! You'll get your own portion of our bakery's sourdough dough and learn how to: roll and shape your orange-infused dough, make cinnamon-orange filling, fill, roll, and cut your cinnamon rolls. Then they'll be ready for you to take them to bake at home.

No baking experience necessary! We've done the fermentation work for you, so you can jump right into the fun part of shaping. Come hungry, leave with cinnamon rolls, and spend an afternoon learning, creating, and celebrating a new culture.

🏵 A note about the menu: 🏵
We're making our own Día de los Muertos-inspired sourdough cinnamon rolls. While orange and cinnamon are flavors you'll find in Mexican baking, these rolls are not pan de muerto. Pan de muerto is a traditional bread with its own history and symbolism. Our recipe is our bakery's own creation, inspired by the flavors, colors, and spirit of the season.
