What does it actually mean to be a person after God's own heart?David was overlooked and chosen. Afraid and courageous. Hunted and favored. Powerful and broken. A sinner and a worshiper.
His story is complicated because people are complicated. And that's exactly what makes David's story so powerful.
Over six weeks, we'll walk through the life of David—from the field to the battlefield, the cave to the palace, brokenness to worship—and discover the God who relentlessly pursues imperfect people.
And ultimately, David's story points us to Jesus: the King David could never be.
