David McSavage is back with PIG IGNORANT — a brand-new show inspired by the collapsed assholes who have always lived among us, making life shite and, occasionally, completely unbearable.
You know the type. They’re absolutely convinced they’re right. They’re angry, unreasonable and somehow manage to drag everyone else into their madness. You tell yourself to ignore them, rise above it and move on… but some grudges simply deserve to be nurtured.
McSavage certainly thinks so.
In Pig Ignorant, he digs into the wrongs, resentments and petty injustices that stay lodged in your brain for decades — including his own vivid memory of being collared by Gardner in the grounds of Vicarage on Carysfort Avenue at the age of seven, getting such a fright he pissed himself and cried the whole way home.
That was 53 years ago. He hasn’t forgotten.
Expect McSavage at his most uncompromising: brutally funny, gloriously inappropriate and armed with what he describes as a “revenge-fuelled comedy baseball bat-sized light” to shine on the people who make everyday life just that little bit more unbearable.
