Albion Archaeology's 8 years of excavations at this quarry have revealed an extensive Iron Age agricultural landscape. While the later Iron Age remains represent a fairly standard set of enclosures, albeit extensive, the site functioned as a communal grain store in the early Iron Age, complete with evidence for ritual feasting activity.
