Odeon Richmond presents a day of DAVID BOWIE‘Let’s Dance’
6 pm Saturday 21st November
As we approach Bowie’s 80th Birthday celebrations we are having an early celebration of our own.
Who needs an excuse to celebrate Bowie but here’s our anyway.
November 1978 was the first time David Bowie toured Australia and next year, for the 50th Anniversary, we see the release of David Bowie ‘Stage’ a never-before-seen document of this tour to be shown on a massive scale in large live music venues around the world. We will be presenting the live album ‘Stage’ from that tour in 5.1 Surround Sound
Bowie returned to Australia in November ’83 and we will be showing a live film, never officially released, of the concert in Sydney on 20th November that year.
In 1987 Bowie was in Melbourne on 21st November at Kooyong Stadium after playing 7 shows in Sydney, two of which were filmed and released as ‘Glass Spider’. We will also be screening this concert film.
We will be playing and dancing to Bowie and Bowie related music all night and giving you the chance to sing along to your favourite Bowie tunes during our signature BowieOke.
