Are you a veteran, military service member, or surviving spouse looking to learn how to file for veteran benefits? Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Colorado is hosting a FREE seminar to inform you how. There will be DAV National Service Officers (NSOs) on site to help you through the process. Join us Saturday, October 24th at Launch Pad Brewery (884 S Buckley Rd, Aurora, CO), 3:00-8:00pm (1500-2000). The seminar will cover VA disability claims, appeals, ancillary benefits, and state benefits. The seminar begins with an informational presentation. Immediately following, DAV NSOs provide one-on-one assistance to initiate VA claims or discuss existing VA disability ratings—on a first-come, first-served basis. Veterans should bring DD214s and supporting evidence.
Important: DAV claims assistance is always FREE. Paying anyone to file a VA claim is a federal offense, though Colorado allows charges up to ~$10,000— avoid this since free help is available from various resources. Questions? Email: [email protected]
