About this Event
Hosted by The Data Lab, Scotland’s innovation centre for data and AI, DataFest is Scotland’s leading data & AI conference.
Since 2017, it has grown into the country’s premier showcase of data and AI, attracting global speakers, industry leaders, and practitioners from across sectors and industries.
For 2027, our theme 'Second Nature' asks: What happens when AI becomes second nature?
As AI becomes increasingly embedded in our lives and work, new opportunities are emerging to improve productivity, accelerate innovation and rethink what's possible.
But this shift also raises important questions about the skills we need, how it shapes creativity and decision-making, and what it means for those adopting AI at a different pace.
But when AI is second nature, other questions follow. How does our relationship with AI change when we rely on it routinely? How does it shape creativity, critical thinking and decision-making? And what happens when powerful technology fades into the background of everyday life?
At DataFest 2027, we'll explore the opportunities, challenges and choices shaping our relationship with AI, and what they mean for our lives and work.
