Charles Darwin, author of The Origin of Species, studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh from 1825 to 1827. This talk by Rosemary Mann covers that short, but influential, time in Darwin’s life.

Rosemary Mann was brought up in Edinburgh and has lived in the Old Town all her adult life. After 16 years with Scottish & Newcastle, during which she demonstrated her ability to organise a bevvy in a brewery, she found a career in running charities, mostly pertaining to the built heritage. Guiding visitors at the Mansfield Traquair Centre led to guiding at the National Museum of Scotland, the Dovecot Tapestry Studio and Edinburgh Festival Guides.
