Starting a business involves many important conversations. You may need to ask a potential customer for feedback, clarify what a client wants, approach somebody for help, negotiate with a supplier or confidently explain what you need from a business relationship.
In this practical and supportive small-group workshop, you will learn how to get clear about what you want from a conversation and ask for it in a way that is respectful, confident and direct.
Rather than hinting, hoping or leaving a conversation unsure about what has been agreed, you will explore simple techniques to help you prepare, express yourself clearly and respond confidently. You will also have the opportunity to work through real business situations and practise conversations in a safe and encouraging environment.
Designed for people developing a new business idea or in the early stages of running a business, the workshop will be limited to 12–16 participants to allow time for practical discussion and individual scenarios.
The session will be delivered by Sarah Hanson, a Place-based Pathways Coach and Managing Partner of Interactifs UK.
Sarah trains and coaches people to improve their confidence and effectiveness in conversations, helping them achieve better results with less stress.
Sarah’s been a qualified coach since 2007 and loves working with people across South of Scotland, helping them get their business ideas off the ground. She supports them to focus on their business goals and gently hold them to account between sessions.
With nearly a decade of experience and more than 1,200 clients, she works with entrepreneurs, start-ups and organisations locally, nationally and internationally.
